Hello everyone, I'm from central WA so I'm not super familiar with trails on the west side. That being said my family typically has a tradition of going to a zoo or something for my birthday (huge animal nerd here.) But over the years it would seem that we've gone to pretty much all of them in the state. So I want to possibly change it up a bit. Now I have a harness trained cat (yes you read that right) who travels extremely well. Like you could not distiquish her from a dog when it comes to traveling.

I want to possibly widen her range of places I've taken her, and find a good beginner (pet friendly obviously) trail to take her hiking on. I'm not super picky on location so long as there are trees and it isn't super steep.

And before people start talking about weather conditions for this, my birthday isn't till June. I'm just asking now so I can do as much research as possible.

Your best bet is to use wta.org to find trails that match your desires and abilities.

These have snow right now, but my favorite easy and mostly flat ones are Iron Goat (go clockwise), Monte Cristo, and the often crowded Franklin Falls. If you do Iron Goat, stop at the nearby Deception Falls for a very short hike and a scenic waterfall.

Grasshopper Pass had some amazing open views and wasn’t that steep but the “road” to it was beyond awful.

Lime Kiln is cool and probably snow free right now.

Margaret’s Way is supposed to be flat also, but I haven’t visited it yet.

Like others said, get the WTA app and/or Alltrails.

Download the app called all trails and you'll have all the information you need. Do keep in mind if you go out of cell service areas to download the map.

I have a harness trained cat too! I usually choose a random spot to go to or look up parks. I’m in snohomish/king county so my recommendations may be too far but there’s tons off I90

Nope your in the area I'm looking for actually. I'm from Chelan county but like I said I want to broaden the places I've taken her. She's spent a few hours driving around in the car before (just driving around up in the woods) and she did fantastic with it. Like I said she pretty much just rides like a dog so I'm not worried about distance really.

so does my maine coon! I really like st edwards park, point defiance, bridle trails when it’s non horse hours, lords hill for the flat trails, al borin park, green lake, discovery, gas works is a fun one with cats, lincoln park, and warren g magneson, just avoid the off leash dog area. I’ve taken my cat to all of them and love it, point defiance is in tacoma/ruston but the rest are in those two counties

Grove of the patriarchs is beautiful. Not a hike really but there’s a bridge over to the trees then boardwalk trail. But the pics would be legendary with your kitty.

Pets are not allowed on that trail, and it's been closed for over a year now.
