I'm looking to purchase a vehicle out on auction here with only fender and headlight damage, it's a bill of sale so assuming it's a salvage title.

I read on the WA DOL that a vehicle must meet the threshold that is older than 5 years, this is a 2008 vehicle and market value with 7.1k and not the required amount $7.9k, would it still be possible to get a rebuilt title?

If this is the wrong subreddit for this kind of question mods please delete.

Also interested in the answer. When my motorcycle was totaled out from the insurance I bought it back with a rebuilt title. There wasn't any inspection or anything.

It sounds like might need to file for a lost tile. Dou you know if the vehicle is totaled requiring a rebuilt title?

I'm not sure if it's a salvage title in the first place as it's just a bill of sale and does not say clear or salvage, I'm assuming I would have to file for a replacement title.

I had a vehicle totaled by insurance and IAAI said the same thing about it Bill of sale, I just don't want to buy a vehicle and not have it get a rebuilt title because of the market threshold.

Makes sense. Good luck. Hope it works out.

I can tell you in WA state, I've heard conflicting things about salvage and rebuilt titles. So I'd check with WSP and see what they say, because they do the inspections

Do not buy any vehicle without a title.

That I know, but every salvage vehicle just comes with a bill of sale on every auction site such as IAAI and copart, so that would basically be every vehicle.
