A family traveling through in a full size bus was wrongly labeled antifa by a gun shop owner in Sequim (who had caused problems before). He called some of his “patriot” friends to come forward and “defend what’s theirs” on Facebook/through calling. So when the poor family got to Forks, they were chased, harassed and threatened by racist idiots. Teens stepped in to help them get away. It was a big deal (rightfully so) and we have all been labeled as racists/sun downers since. Not to say there isn’t any racists in town, but a vast majority of us aren’t, and were very upset when that happened.

Yikes.

God, those people are a cancer.

Really enjoyed Forks when I visited; I never got bad vibes, but I definitely felt like the town was stuck in stasis. So isolated, very small, very sleepy, and not at all like other small towns I've visited. It took some getting used to.

My wife and I were working in Sekiu that evening. So we missed much of it. But we got back into town and thought the air was THICK, we couldn’t shake that feeling. We saw some of the kids with their assault rifles with their flags speeding through town. We just looked at each other. “What?!?” She is a Forks native, was born and raised out here, she never saw such a sight.
