Does the Ferry take credit card and would I be able to my ticket there? Or should I buy it beforehand?

Credit card is fine. There is no need to buy ticket in advance. I second this side trip. Deception pass is great! Also check out Ebeys Landing, ft enemy and maybe Langley while on the island.
