Love the mist rising off the water, so surreal. What kind of wildlife sightings do you get being that close to the Olympic National Park?

We get black bear right outside of town in Forks and sometimes they come into town. It’s rare. We also get Moose and a LOT of deer and Elk. There’s a herd of Elk who come into our neighborhood and eat, there’s probably 30-40 of them. We also get seals, beavers and killer and humpback whales. We just had one wash up on shore at Ruby beach last month.

That must be amazing. It’s truly a joy to see wildlife thriving in a spectacular spot as that. One of my dreams is retiring to such a place and being able to see an occasional elk or moose in the backyard while enjoying my morning coffee. Cheers! ☕️
