Call your agent and find out…

It’s almost like it is their job to deal with such customer questions

With all due respect i was going the flow of the traffic. With a speed limit in CAN being 100km people more often than not are going 120+

I do understand that 10mph is an infraction (going 70 in a 60) but is that speeding or American law enforcement swinging their dicks around because they kill innocent people?

Have you checked your insurance’s website? They may have a FAQs page that addresses this.

Listen man, I've gotten tickets and it sucks, but focus on the problems you can solve here. You sped, the cop chose you, that's it.

You can go to court and fight the ticket. There is usually a URL on the ticket.

I am not trying to dispute wether or not I committed the infraction cause I did. In my OP I have asked if anyone knows if it goes into my auto insurance.

So maybe people should answer the question if they know

Typically yes, a speeding ticket will impact your insurance, unless your company has a grace allowance for a rare infraction.

I'm not sure if it's useful in Canada, but I recently fought a ticket and got it dropped, I used an app/website that connects you to local lawyers, I am unaffiliated with it, but the cost was about the same as the ticket (and nothing on the record), Off The Record.

Worth checking it out before you just accept the hit

Do you realize this is r/Washington and not r/legaladvicecanada ? Like how would we know what goes into your insurance rates? You're getting the sort of answers you might expect...

I don’t know if it’ll affect your Canadian insurance. I’ve beat a few tickets in Washington off i5 before. Cost about $300 and they got dismissed, when the tickets were $180. Best to call a lawyer in the area it happened and ask their opinion on what they think of chances it being able to be beat.
