Silver Falls trail out of Ohanapecosh campground in Mt Rainier park is easy.

That looks perfect! I’m vacationing from the east coast with my mom so I wouldn’t want anything too difficult and I read some trails are closed in October. We’re passing through spending 3 days in that area.

Goat Rocks! You can go up Goat Ridge to Goat Lake from there.

Naches Peak loop is a bit of a drive north (half hour ish?) but is high bang for your buck and not very strenuous.

Hopefully we get some rain that gets the wildfires and smoke outta the way before you arrive

Packwood Lake is rewarding. Second Silver Falls though this time of year water flow is about as low as it gets. Grove of the Patriarchs is cool too.

We were just at the Mt Rainier NP yesterday …the only drive in park entrance open right now is the Nisqually entrance (southwest corner of the park) …the others are closed for the season. …wasn’t sure of your mom’s activity level, but there’s MANY short or longer hikes that are well marked through there as well.

Perfect, thank you for the heads up. I’ll have to look at what trails are available from that entrance. My mom is good to walk for a few hours, but I don’t think she can do steep inclines.
