The Bolt Creek fire is currently burning and that is the primary reason that Highway 2 is closed.

Fire burned the trees and no they are falling into the road. They have to clear all trees back from the whole burned out area.

For sure. We've had almost no rain in North Bend since mid-July. While not unprecedented, it's unusual and will magnify the post-wildfire environment and dynamics throughout the region.
