Hmmm, guess I don’t really explore too much outside of suburbia. Residential areas at least feel really safe to me. But this is also coming from someone who’s lived/worked in Aberdeen.

A lot of people felt that way about Yelm, but the property and mail theft are out of control. The local police can’t even handle it. They are not even responding to car thefts.

Hmm, yeah Yelm doesn’t seem that great of a place to be in. In regards to Lacey, maybe it just depends how deep you are in the suburbs. I’ve accidentally left my garage door open overnight a couple of times, with a bunch of shoes on shelves there, but didn’t have anything missing the next mornings. I feel pretty confident with packages being left out on my front steps, but I can see some places in Lacey, where you probably wouldn’t feel so confident.
