I love Western Washington. We have all of this wonderful waterfront and we’ve decided it should be 99% private homes of people so wealthy they’re only there a couple months a year and then they allow us poors to enjoy little pockets of beach that fill up the minute it’s 70 degrees or more. People act like we’re the Socialist Republic of Washington but we’re where billionaires come to stretch their legs with applause from the local politicians.

Dude, you don’t know how good you have it here. Coming from a state that has 90%+ private land, Washington has a bounty of public world-class land

This is true. This state has an unbelievable amount of prime public land compared to most states. We are actually really lucky in that regard.

Bring binoculars and you can stare at the rich people through their giant bay windows.

Kind of a weird park to get to. You take s nondescript turn off Lake Washington Blvd north of downtown, then down to a nondescript parking area, then you have to walk about another quarter mile under a bridge downhill to the water.
