I got hit by a pickup while on my way to a friend's house to watch the Vikings 6 years ago. Went to the hospital and had a below knee amputation done. After I woke up from surgery the first thing I asked was 'did the Vikings win?'

They did not, in fact, win. 😞

Damn, what's the opposite of a silver lining? That sucks, hope you're getting around okay. Stuff like that can really mess up your whole body, beyond even just the amputation.

It was 6 years ago. I'm fine. Back to playing sports, hiking mountains, and flying airplanes. If I'm wearing jeans no one has any clue that I'm an amputee.

Is it dark that I want to now know which game it was?

Lol, Lions vs Vikings at US Bank Stadium on Nov 6th, 2016. Vikings lost in overtime. I never ended up watching the game or highlights.

16-13 OT game too, probably a few Vikings fan wish they had not watched that either (all jokes aside, glad you survived your accident)

Lost by a kick, prolly.

Eta: that was not intended to be some kind of weird joke about your amputation. Just a depressing fact of being a Vikings fan :/
