I still think we should seriously re-evaluate the sport from the ground up, and how much damage it can and does do to humans.

The NFL has been around in some form or another since 1920. Between then and now, this is the first incident of impact induced cardia arrest has happened on the field. That alone should tell you how rare this is. This requires millisecond precise timing.

Even so, the sheer amount of head trauma and other stuff is too much to deny. This is dangerous beyond what we should allow as a civilized society.
