I assume her partner just didn't want to be interviewed. Not everyone wants their face all over the media.

Maybe, but the headline is making her sound like the one and only hero.

What she did was amazing, no doubt, but her partner was just as heroic and amazing.

He could have easily been mentioned in the headline, it would have been less misleading.

Her boyfriend could have a million good reasons to want to stay out of the press. He could work in a sensitive job, he could be undocumented, he could be dodging an ex, or he could owe someone money. Or maybe they aren't officially "together" yet, or maybe he's just a very private person!

In the CNN interview I just watched, Sha'Kyra was careful to say simply, "I'm so grateful my family was with me." It seems very much like she's protecting him, not stealing his glory.

You, and obviously others, are misunderstanding my comment.

I never said she did anything wrong.

I am just saying the headline is misleading.

It doesn't matter if he wants to remain anonymous or not, the headline should have simply been more general.

Saying that the couple was heroic rather than just the woman.

Anyways, we are going around I circle. Obviously the point was missed here.
