This is interesting and I hope they can cut through the red tape in the Western World to help the people in Africa find a better infint vaccine for TB. I am a firm believer that People should not be getting rich off either vaccines or life saving drugs.

"By far, the country's biggest recorded killer is 39 year old Ebunike Mchala Mgarbe, weighing in at a whopping 489 lbs (240 kilograms) and 6'4" (192 centimeters), making a crane-based cage match the scientists' ideal way of fighting the Malawian murderer and habitual arsonist.
One scientist is quoted saying: "our first design for the fight was built on the notion that he would be slow given his size, but after seeing footage of him chasing down a zebra and biting it's head off our initial plan of standing on each other's shoulders to gain size, reach, and intimidation factor, like in beach volley, required immediate revision and redesign" he remarked just prior to ripping a sleeve off of his labcoat to use it as a bandana."

I want to point out that 1/3rd of all humans on the planet are infected with TB, but it's dormant in most of these. TB is probably the no. 1 secondary infection killer that strikes when a person's immune system is weakened. It was the no. 1 killer of people with HIV in developing nations prior to antivirals (I don't know the stats now, sorry).
So, a vaccine against TB would save countless lives.
Additionally, because it's sitting in so many people, it's ripe for natural selection. If we don't eliminate this threat, it will come back worse. I believe it was in 2012 that total drug resistant TB evolved - if we don't shore up our healthcare systems, it'll gain a foothold in developed nations shortly.

The article is about Tuberculosis vaccine trials and campaign, in collaboration with partners from the UK. All the best luck to them, it feels like a disease that should be relegated to the history books.
