GoFundMe is just over 5K, wonder what it will be now that it's on Reddit. I'll have to check it tomorrow.

Ikr lmao.
Dude's 60, and has been homeless for god knows how long.
He should get some sort of retirement, free housing, and just be able to chill and be comfy.
Someone like that don't live into their 90's.

Imagine what would happen if workers made hiring decisions instead of gambling jerkoffs in Manhattan trying to strip companies for parts or white supremacist trust fund douchebags who keep failing into increasing levels of wealth due to those gambling jerkoffs in Manhattan while never being able to actually break even.

Free poverty level housing would not have helped this man very much. He was crippled with addiction and depression, largely from losing his wife and having some hard times in life. Sitting in some old decrepit building wouldn’t have solved any of that, his issue wasn’t being out in the cold.

What he did need was compassion and someone that he might be able to consider a friend. This woman treated him like a human, let him around her kids, took him to get a haircut, and gave him a sense of purpose. She restored his will to live.

Life isn’t fair, the sooner you accept this the less you’ll suffer. Karma takes care of everything in this life or the next. Focus on yourself, be the change you want to see. Make it obvious that love is what fuels you. The only thing to fear is fear itself. Fear constricts opportunities, love expands them.

I like these people. She got a helper and a friend, he got a job, a purpose, a room, food, a friend, more to come, and hopefully, a lasting change in circumstances.
