So I’m considering taking the Metro North to NY instead of driving down since I work in office twice a week. I would have to drive to the train station which would be about a (5 min drive). Any suggestions on where I could park from 6am to 5pm? I’ll be taking the Metro north from the Stamford stop.
Just fyi, it’s currently still cash only so you need that on hand.
Can’t wait for the new structure to be finished. It better have multiple lanes and automated credit card payment options at the exits.
I do the same twice a week, I prefer to park on the roof for easy access to the skyway

The parking lot is on the far side of the station...if coming from downtown it goes 95 -> one entrance to the stations -> station -> other side entrance to the station-> Parking Garage.
Also don' pull into the car rental lot, make sure you're going into the full structure.
EDIT: It's called "Republic park system" on google maps and they have a photo of the entrance.
Not sure if they are still available, but a monthly pass at the Stamford garage is $70/month. Not sure how much daily parking is, but it’s not much more than $8, I think. Driving to Greenwich to take the train involves I-95 which would seem to defeat the purpose of taking the train. You could drive to Noroton Heights and park there for $4/day. And because you are catching the train before it reaches Stamford, you have a better shot at getting a seat on the train. Of course, the train doesn’t come as frequently at Noroton Heights. Save yourself the trouble and park at the greenwich station (exit 3 of 95) and take that in.
Stamford parking garage is a nightmare and you can only pay cash.

Have you considered walking or taking the bus to the station? Would save you lots of money in the long run.
There are a number of parking options (just do a google search) but they are all pricey. We usually park a bit further down off Atlantic St in a garage there. I think it’s Metro Green. Saves a little bit of money but is still expensive.
My move is the New Canaan line - Glenbrook or Springdale. $3 a day to park. The trains are less frequent but in the mornings there are direct trains (Glenbrook, Stamford, NYC). There is even one that skips Stamford.

BLT has now opened their surface lot for “free parking” and it’s right across Atlantic Street from Stamford station. They recently hung banners from the fence surrounding the lot advertising that it’s free. The entrance is at 624 Atlantic St.
If you're only a 5 min drive away I'd consider walking or taking a bus. The city buses are currently fare free and have been very reliable and on schedule when I've take them. BLT also operates several shuttle bus routes between downtown, Harbor Point and Waterside that are free to the public as well.
Getting to Noroton Heights from Glenbrook is easy too, and most trains will be express to Harlem - 125th after Stamford, so that’s also a plus.
Check out Noroton Stop. Parking is infinite and getting out of there is easier than navigating Stamford.
not a suggestion on where to park but if u want a free ride take the express and immediately lock yourself into the bathroom then get off at 125th

I take the train to GC from Stamford 3 times per week. The garage attached to Stamford Station is fine and only $8 for the entire day. It’s covered and has a skyway to the tracks. I arrive there around 7:00 AM; never have a problem finding a space.
