School board is city wide… the city is carved into a number of state rep districts… I am sure your district was inundated by someone else’s signs!
This guy’s signs appeared everywhere all of a sudden in like mid October
I live in the 145th and I never heard of him until last week!
Not only did he put two obnoxiously huge signs in Hope Street Park, but he drove around one of those billboard trucks—gross. No need to pollute the environment, Abraham. You could’ve just talked to the Advocate or the League of Women Voters to get your views out there. But you chose to ignore both. So glad Blumenthal won.
I like to research all the candidates on the ballot. I find the Republican Party of late appalling, but remember a time where New England Republicans had some reasonable ideas I agreed with. I would love to have stronger candidates in both parties (or…I know it’s crazy…but more than two parties!) because I’m not so naive to think Democrat automatically equals good. But it’s really hard lately. Viera is a good example - I saw the signs so I checked out his campaign page. There was nothing of substance, seriously it was laughable. He could not have spent more than 5 minutes writing it up and his strongest point is #realdad (actually what the site says). It’s honestly bordering on offensive that someone feels like they should have an elected position without proposing a single concrete stance on anything. But then again, he still got a decent amount of votes. So I’m not sure what’s worse lol.
This guy and his supporters also spent election day trying to get in verbal fights with Democrats at Davenport Ridge. What a piece of work. If you dig a little, then you find he emerges from the toxic swamp of people interested in "parental rights", which is coded language for anti-vaccine, anti-LGBTQ, Trumper nonsense.
Bobby Valentine and his supporters really pioneered the sign blitzkrieg last year. They must have put out thousands and he lost despite being "Mr. Stamford" or whatever.
We need some sort of law for these signs. Not just the political signs, all the random events and stuff that occur all year long. You get one week to remove them, then you start getting weekly fines. There are signs from events over the summer still littering the sidewalks. It's crazy.
Yes, please! Holy cow.
Did you see the truck he had trolling around town too?
Telltale sign he had no support : all the signs were set up at the edge of a property line or on a corner.
Dude was dependent on neighbors not asking each other if each other actually supported him

It's funny, because while I remember some of the school board people who were putting stuff everywhere, this guy's name doesn't ring a bell at all. Guess he needed 14,001 signs.
