Thanks! Any thoughts on Greenwich Point Park? Seems like a nice little bike ride but I know it's limited to Greenwich households during summer. Are Stamford residents allowed in if they pay a fee or is it resident only? (and is it worth that fee if so)
The main negative I’d add is that it’s an absolute nightmare getting in/out of that area if you’re trying to go north or east. Greenwich Ave is way too highly trafficked and it becomes a huge logjam, especially with the car wash on the corner. Selleck is slightly better, but only slightly.
I’ve actually saved time before going southwest into Greenwich and up Sound Beach Ave.
Basically, if you don’t need to hurry into downtown Stamford, it’s a nice spot. Right near Half Full brewery too if you’re into that stuff. It’s much quieter and more low key than their Third Place location. You can join their mug club for like $80 that would pay for itself pretty quickly if you frequent it.
You pay a per person ticket fee every time of around $7-9 (I can’t remember) and a car fee of around $35-45 if you’re driving in.
I love the park but don’t think it’s worth the fees. Maybe for a one all day trip.
Otherwise it’s open Oct 31 - April 31 for nonresidents.
Great apartment complex and neighborhood is very safe
I don't have any strong opinions on the area but Boccuzzi Park blows.
even post renovation? didnt they just revamp the whole place?
I was last there in 2021. Can't speak to any more recent developments.
I live in a house very close by on Davenport Drive (great for walks as there is no traffic). We really love it. They are renovating the park and Old Greenwich is only a 5 minute drive. Would add the water taxi from Prime to Harbor Point is great in the summer. The Baypoint pool looks awesome
I researched how to visit last summer and gave up. From what I gathered you have to buy a license online but only between 9am-5pm even though it's online? So it wasn't available when I was researching and I didn't wanna just go there and not get in.

Yes, Bay pointe is very nice with great amenities. You have the boardwalk which runs into the beach park by Soundwaters. That is being renovated but the park and area are relatively safe. There's also the seasonal water taxi across to the Harbor that's very helpful for living there. You can drive into Old Greenwich which is a walkable area with restaurants and shops adjacent to the OG Train Staion there's a Kings market. A little more $$$ but a good alternative for nominal items....
