Does it still count as invasive if the species adapted to their new environment?

I’m pretty sure it does. From what I’ve read, we meet all the requirements. Some sites say that the only criteria are not being native to the area and the capacity to cause harm to the environment, economy, or human, and I think we definitely meet those requirements, mostly with harming the environment with that last one.

I’m in no way an expert on this but I think there’s some weight to it.

It could be argued that the species is thriving even more in the new environments than in the original.

And the counter argument would be as long as humans kill/hate each other for shits and giggles the species merely survives instead of thriving

No. An invasive species is one that arose in one climate and has due to human intervention come to another where it can outcompete indigenous species. We took ourselves to every place except for somewhere in Africa.

lol humans are crawling all over Sub-Saharan Africa. It was there that humans first evolved, always lived, and they remain in very large number to this day!
