I beg you to go watch Titanic on a newer TV.. you will be gobsmacked at what we were impressed by. It looks like Thomas the tank engine graphics..

Yep. Right in the beginning. After they have just boarded I believe. Camera does a flyover shot from above.

I feel like the huge jump is around 2010, that’s when movies started to get that crisp perfect frame we have now.

On this note, there are a lot of TV shows from the late 90’s - mid 00’s that don’t exist in HD. Early shows were shot on film, and could be converted to HD, and later shows were shot digitally in HD, but during that period a lot of shows were recorded on SD digital cameras, and we’ve got the best version we’ll ever get.
