this is why i like the microwaves that have +30sec and +1min buttons.
When I cook up a big hotdog for the kiddo I hit 77 some of the time.

Expert microwave users take advantage of the power level function. 70% power is just right for certain foods

For Decoration.
Eventually Alexa, Lisa, Pedro, Jeeves, or Siri will microwave your food and the keypad might become obsolete.

You only use 5 buttons on your microwave? I'm guessing that you never opened the manual.
What part of designing a keypad with less than 10 numbers would be a good use of money?

One of my favourite frozen meals needs to be heated for seven minutes.
Ironically I don't have a numerical keypad, so just have to hit the 30 second button a lot.

Start, Stop, 3,0, add 30 seconds
I'm living off hot pockets okay?

Which foods, expert Oven?
I use 70% most often for oatmeal. It's 3 minutes, 70% covered, then stir, then 1 min 100% uncovered
Cover with special microwave cover?
I just use a plate upside-down over the bowl
Thank! Now cooking will be easy
Anything on a plate that usually blows up and makes a mess at 100% I quadruple the time and heat it at 20% or 30%. You don't need to cover it and it will be perfectly uniformly warm. I use 70% for soups. Again slower but more uniformly distributes heat.
I forget where this comes from, some YouTube video of something, but you just took this from that and it's wrong.
I run my finger down 1, 4, & 7 for my morning oatmeal. 1.30 not quite enough & 2.00 too much...
