But why would the NPCs want to do that? The whole point of being an NPC is to avoid parties and all that needless murder-hoboing.

I’m starting to think that NPCs are the truly OP ones. ;)

Depending on where they exist being an npc comes with the benefit of being truly unkillable or the curse of dying over and over again for all of time.
