I mean we're less impressive than many animals in that regard. My cat can chill outside naked in 30°C or in freezing temps.

See, the point is that fur isn’t clothes, it’s part of the body. So shaving the cat would essentially be cheating to get certain results

It’s actually kinda the opposite. One of the things that gives humans a massive advantage is our ability to stay cool during long intense bouts of exercise. This is why we have no fur.

And then of course if our lack of fur becomes an issue, we can use our big brains to make something to cover up with

The cat’s fur in this case does the same thing a thick coat would do for us. Contain the heat that the living creature produces naturally. I guess the point I was trying to make is that if we didn’t naturally produce heat but still needed it to survive we’d have to rely on man-made solutions
