Not half. Ever go to a pro game? It's predominately the local teams crowd

A vast majority of sporting events are not at neutral sites; by far, most games/matches are at one team's home grounds.
Depending on the sport and league, home teams win between 53% and 69% of the time.
:)

Yeah but they lose at home a fair amount of the time and on those occasions most of the people are disappointed. So overall about half the people are disappointed.

Good point! Maybe: almost half the people at sporting events pay a lot of money to be disappointed. Sometimes it is almost all the people. Sometimes it’s almost none of the people. But for the most part about half the people attending games in a given year come away disappointed.

That depends. Are you talking about an event that only has two teams? An event like a tennis open where you might support a specific player but overall you just enjoy good tennis is not a disappointment. Or in an Olympics where it doesn’t make any difference necessarily who wins as long as it’s your country but you’re going up against multiple countries competing so less than half or more than half depending will be disappointing.
