Cookie dough, cake batter, and brownie batter are all also things that are not considered edible before they are cooked, yet people eat them all the time. Albeit in small doses (I'd hope.)

The definition of pizza includes the word baked.

I don't understand why you're getting downvoted. The uncooked assembled parts of a pizza aren't really a pizza.

Think of it like an egg. An egg is an egg regardless if it's cooked or not. You do not eat an egg before it is cooked, but that doesn't take away that it is an egg. A pizza, hot or cold is a pizza based on the dough/crust, a sauce of some sort, cheese/toppings. If I see a frozen pizza, I still consider it a pizza. Would I eat it cold? No. But it is cold before I heat it up.

I disagree.
Grapes are not wine until crushed and fermented (simplified I know) Cement is not concrete until it dries. Cake batter is not a cake until it’s baked.
None of the initial three items above are their latter item. You do not treat any three of them the same. You do not walk on wet cement. You do not ice and decorate raw cake batter (least most people do not attempt to as the result would be messy) and you literally only have grape juice if you crush grapes, no getting drunk over some smooshed fruits.
In ALL of these there is literal chemical change involved to create a new compound. AKA You can not go back, it is NOT the same item as before.
So the pizza item here is not pizza. Because the dough has yet react to the heat and ‘compound’ into the crust we all know and love(or hate).
So I disagree with YOUR logic of an uncooked pizza is not yet chemically “a pizza.”
I emphasis “your” because Someone above called a tortilla with pizza toppings a pizza, and then that just becomes what I perceive to be an argument of linguistics/etymology . All your egg example is an etymology issue. We just don’t have a word for cooked egg like we do other meats or goodies.
Edited for grammar and spelling. Probably still shitty.

This is so dishonest. An egg is a single thing. It's not a combination of things. So of course it's always going to be what it is whether or not it's been cooked. But the other examples they gave were valid. An uncooked pizza is as much a pizza as cake batter is cake, brownie batter is brownies, or cookie dough is cookies. Things that actually have multiple ingredients. Uncooked pizza isn't actually pizza because there's no bread. Just uncooked yeast. You don't present someone An uncooked pizza and say "look, I've made a pizza" 💀

Lol, I'm just a random guy on the internet with an opinion that doesn't really even matter. No need to change your post to appease me. I didn't type all of that to bash you, just to point out that IMO a cold pizza is also considered a pizza. Could I have done it in a less demeaning way? Looking back, absolutely. No way to turn back time though, and regardless neither of our lives were really changed by the outcome anyways. It was an interesting shower thought at least, one of the more original ones I've seen lately.

Glad to hear that. Not often you see that online, especially in a subreddit such as this one. Arguing online over important topics is never something I care for. Over topics that literally don't matter though? I'm all for it until it gets out of hand lol

Yeah I kinda just got tired of arguing which is why I said that lol. I don't really care. Have a good day

Fair enough, better off using your time on something that is actually beneficial or enjoyable. You as well, take care of yourself.

I like to argue on the internet too. I find it really fun sometimes.

Perhaps you should look into online discussions instead of arguments lol. NOW THATS where you get those satisfactory moments.

Though it might be considered pizza, when people "make food" it is assumed that it is in its final finished form. You dont make eggs and then they are raw. The same you dont make pizza and its raw. (See how i talked about eggs too lol). In the context of the question pizza would take longer to be made cold.
