I dressed up in my sister's clothes and wig and had to explain to most of the people that I was a boy. Really did a lot to assure my masculinity as I grew up. /s

Yeah, I’m a female and dressed up as Pee Wee Herman when I was a kid. Did his voice n’ erthang, knocked it out the park. Prolly wouldn’t get the same response today.

I think it would be okay today because you dressed up like a character not a gender. I think if you went simply as a man some might think you're trying to stir up a debate or something.
