You're thinking of the "singularity" AI/AGI. Robotaxi will happen way before that. Driving a car safely is machine vision and some complex predictive logic, but its doesn't need genius level AI. It will probably be a decade or two later that an AGI gets unleashed on us

I was thinking the employee monitoring functions of Amazon warehouse hand scanners.

Self driving cars still seem a fair ways off.
