We have a group chat of a dozen neighbours on the street that usually gets active around dinner time with the “I ran out off… does anyone have any?”

When this was the norm, there was probably only one town store and they had hours of being closed. Now you can buy sugar anywhere, even at a 24/7 gas station.

It probably doesn't help that sugar has been discovered to be way worse for us than previously thought. Otherwise, I blame Dollar General. There's so many of them where I live, they are the "neighbor" that usually has plenty. The bad parI is they make you pay for it. Bastards.
