I too use a Brita to fill my ice, I just leave the tray next to the fridge open fridge to get brita, fill, easily put back in freezer. But also it’s not hard to not spill it. Just don’t over fill when walking from the sink.

A little bit, but its a mix of minerals. We got a consultation and the well guy said it should have been another 100ft deeper. So its safe but not tasty.

Everybody loves our limestone bedrock wells here but sometimes you hit shale and it’s nasty water. Very few sand pockets for filtration

I fill the insulated cups 1/3 full with water and put those in the freezer.

Or if your tap water is unsafe/unpleasent to consume, a bottle of drinking water works just as well (and generally makes better quality ice anyway).

I fill my tray in the freezer from my brita pitcher. Our well water tastes like crap so I gotta filter it or my ice wont be neutral.
