Success is a generic term. Success in what? Success in gardening certainly isn't measured by money. Success in learning to play piano certainly isn't measured in money.

Its an indicator of financial success. Just because you are rich doesnt mean you know how to beat mike tyson in punchout. People might define success in a lot of different ways.
Replace "success" with "value", and you might be onto something.
