By definition, an orphan is a child whose parents are dead, like batman of spiderman or orphan annie

My parents are both gone and I do feel like an orphan sometimes. It’s a weird feeling.

probably because most people classify orphans as children, mostly due to the fact that children (unfortunately) get thrown out once they are 18
