When you're negotiating buying a car, you are making a major purchase in an arena of snake charmers. Just buy online. You don't have to haggle anymore. It's so annoying.

This is less of a shower thought and moreso just good advice for any time you're negotiating. If the seller doesn't truly believe you're prepared to walk then you're never going to get the best possible deal (probably, unless they're just feeling really nice that day or aren't trying to make a profit).
