This doesn't happen on VRChat.

People who didn't know me addressed me as they/them and that was jarring enough but then someone who did know me did it, and suddenly it felt imperative to start correcting but I wasn't sure how to without looking like a dick.

I always use they/them but I have been doing that for as long as I remember. Long before all this pronouns thing came about

While I do frequently call unknown genders he/him, I have been getting better at using they/them. Better to not make assumptions, then I cant be wrong.
