Just as a point, tires and brakes should really be the things you don't go too cheap on. That's literally the things keeping you safe.

There's a difference between being cheap by saving $20-30 per tire on a brand name like Goodyear or Michelin, and being cheap by buying an inexpensive no-name Chinese tire that is probably safe but will wear out in six months and may suck in the snow or rain.

I concur, you should try to get the best deal but as good of a quality of tire as you can.

Anything that keeps you off the ground (tires, shoes, mattresses) should not be cheaped out on.
