My boyfriend and I would like to learn how to sail and are looking for someone in the Rhode Island area to teach us how to sail this spring or summer. We will both be 24 years old and are comfortable on the water but have little sailing experience. We are happy to compensate you for your time and knowledge. We’d like to learn how to sail for pleasure so we don’t need any certifications from a sailing school and hope to buy our own boat this year. Thank you for any leads!

April, when my 32 ft Ericson goes back in the water, is a ways off, but I could be open to this. I'm in Westerly, boat will be in Mystic.

We took ASA101 in Jamestown last Summer and it was worth it.

You might try crewing in EG or other areas. It's more of a word or mouth thing but you learn fast . Ya just have to commit to it.

I’m in Newport and sail with a few friends who have a couple boats on moorings in the harbor. We are months away until they are back in the water for the season, but dm me if you’d like and we can connect.

I’d potentially like to crew for you out of Mystic as well. Looking for experience. I have about 30 days sea time between a few boats, but no certifications. Familiar with Newport harbor. If you’re open to it dm me your contact info and I’ll reach out once boating season starts

Herreshoff in Bristol has private or group (4 people) lessons. The 12 1/2s are so fun to learn on, and they have a Sea Sprite 23 as well.
