Preferably in southern RI but have no problem traveling elsewhere. Also, this is nothing against the Matunuck Oyster Bar. It's just that I've been there enough and looking for someplace different.

It's a smaller spot and they only just started taking reservations for groups of 6 or more. I recommend going on off hours if it's the weekend, or you may be waiting for a while. Great spot though, the crab cakes are amongst my favorites, they have a nice variety of seafood options, a good spread of oysters and kind staff. It can be pricey, but seafood should be and I've never been disappointed by their food or staff.
Midtown Oyster Bar in Newport used to have excellent oysters and a good variety when I went there. Haven’t been in about a year so not sure if anything has changed.
The sea. Go find a mud flat and pull them out of the much yourself like a true Rhode Islander.
Failing that Benjamin's in newport has buck a shuck on Tuesdays I believe.
My husband always loves getting them from Cooke House in Newport. Always a good selection of local oysters (especially when they have Walrus and the Carpenter).
Greenwich Bay Oyster Bay in EG is pretty solid but it’s a small place with maybe 10 bar seats. Buck-a-Shuck M-F 4-6 and weekends 12-4. Can never go wrong with Midtown in Newport. Always have a wide variety of local
Still great oysters!
Highly recommend you learn to shuck (it’s not as hard as you think!) and find a good seafood market. The cost savings is unreal.
Bywater in Warren is a hidden gem that has buck a shuck on Mondays. Bit of a drive for a Monday for you but maybe a good spot for a long weekend.
J22 in Jamestown it used to be called Jamestown oyster bar

Price has gone up, but that’s Newport for yah. Still, best selection in town.
Providence Oyster Bar
Georges of Galilee, they get them right down the road from Bluff Hill Cove Oyster Co, best oysters in RI imo
