I think the exams are on the cheaper end, the script and frames you can get for pretty cheap at Walmart or bjs

I had a good experience at Walmart when I had no vision coverage. The doctor was shockingly good. The frames were super cheap and some they offer definitely don't last...but on the flip side when I was traveling and they broke I was able to go into a random Walmart across the country and get the lenses popped into identical replacement frames.
