Just curious is there an advantage to e85?
I will be mixing it with 93 octane, 30% E85 70% 93 octane, and you will have E30 which is about 95, 96 octane.
Could you please be more specific.
On R102 off 95 in West Greenwich, don’t ask me what exit number they just changed them.
Thank you, I just googled them there's also a cat scale in this gas station, I will be weighing my car!
With performance modifications to a car you can easily add 30+ horsepower when you tune a car to run with E85 or in their case e30. Also better fuel economy and Typically it’s much cheaper than regular fuel.
gotcha thx!
interesting for sure thanks!
Can you post the name please I am thrilled this exists
TA Travel Center (401) 397-7774 https://maps.app.goo.gl/KW98mnVe4neyr7pW7
I tried to call them and ask them about the E85, but no one answered the phone, but I will be going there anyway for the scale.
Thanks let me know either way if they do or don’t please!
Sure, and there's another station with E85, Crossroads Convenience (508) 557-1334 https://maps.app.goo.gl/sErFw6JBeuJqqd5S8 Give it a try they might have it!
I’ve been told that place used to have it but no longer does.
What's up with them gas stations and why no one answers the phones, what would do with the E85, mixing?
Debatable on the better mpg part, but as for the performance part it's all true, I actually have an adjustable tune, thus on 93 my car would build 16 lb boost, but on E30 it would build up to 23 lbs!
I’d be making e30 right now but flex fuel support just came out for my platform. A few more mods and next season it’ll be ready for full e85.
Yep. And an n55 daily driver. I like headaches and boost
Lol I love BMWs, but if I ever buy one it would be something with the B58 engine, or the N63 if they did some upgrades and pumped the reliability of it!
I’d get a b58 all day just can’t afford it. Modern n54 but way more reliable. I am so deep into maintenance for both of these high mile cars that the only thing to do is keep them forever. They are in awesome condition with very low value because of the mileage, so they are here to stay.
Yeah man maintenance is a key for all cars and as they say oil is cheap but engines are expensive, will I hope they last you forever, and I will check that gas station for e85 and report back to you.
Thanks. If I ever find local e85 I’ll let you know. Closest I’ve found is Cambridge.
I just checked the East Greenwich station they don't have any E85, but you use the cat scale to weigh your car!
Bummer back to no e85 anywhere closer than Cambridge. Why is it like this here. The scale is a nice consolation prize.
Not many people use E85 around here, yeah the scale is nice.
I bet it’s because not many people SELL e85 around here lol
I would have brought a 55 gallon drum and ordered me some E85, but the E85 is hydrophilic thus it will absorb all the moisture from the air and becomes useless.
Even in a sealed 55 gal drum?
Probably.
