I’m here on vacation, have a medical marijuana card and got stuff from a. Dispensary can I smoke it in public or outside my AirBnb or do I have to be careful

Public consumption is illegal.
You can smoke or vape in a private setting like your air bnb, rental property, or if you are very careful in a hotel.
Be extremely careful if staying at a hotel or air bnb though. The powers at be could still hold you to account if they don’t allow consumption on property (they don’t).

I don't know why you got downvoted. What you said is true. I've walked right up and asked police officers if they'd bother with someone smoking pot out in public. Just to prove a point to friends. Most say that it's illegal but they're not encouraged to go after these people. It's not even worth the paperwork. "Ohh you got me and my half smoked blunt. Way to go Columbo."
It's treated like tobacco now. Anywhere you can legally smoke a cigarette you can smoke Cannabis. Just not while driving.
