Spanish Classes

Hello,

I was looking for Spanish classes to keep my learning on track and I only found like 2, The Spanish Playhouse and Passport to Languages. Of course there is CCRI as well but that's gonna be expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions or any experience with these?

I remember learning Spain Spanish in school but would get conflicting and incorrect information from Latin American Spanish speakers.

Spanish is still easier in this aspect compared to others. Even with dialects , %75-80 is still continental Spanish. Major differences I would say the speed when spoken ( mainly with Caribbean speakers ) and native indigenous words introduced, slang, and different meanings of the same word.

Ex. Burrito in Spain is a little Donkey but in Mexico its a food

Community Libraries of Providence has free Spanish classes.

There are Monday beginner classes from 6-7:30 pm that start at the Knight Memorial Library on Jan. 30

There are Wednesday beginner classes at the Rochambeau Library starting Jan. 11. Those classes are 6-7:30.

There are also online classes if you’re looking for intermediate or advanced classes and we’re working on adding virtual weekend classes for beginners.

Classes are 10 weeks long. We do ask for a $25 donation, but if people can’t pay, that’s ok. The classes are free.

Providence Public Library also has classes, but that’s the downtown library. They are their own entity.
