The town beaches are really nice. No big hotels, no bars, just peaceful Sandy beaches.

If you mean clean = no seaweed welcome to New England. Not as nice as outer cape / CC National seashore or parts of Maine but also not as cold as Maine and defo nicer than CT beaches!

But comparing beaches in different temperature zones is foolish anyway. There’s stunning beaches in Ireland for example that beat Florida by a mile but it’s not warm. I hate any kind of beach next to overdevelooed areas / condo towers for example so going to Florida is the last thing I’d want to do for a beach.

Plus the water is too damn hot. I was in Miami got work in August and thought it would be refreshing to swim and cool off. Boy was I wrong. I love the cool refreshing water we have in RI.

Love our beaches. They have seaweed and rocks at some. But the water temperature is refreshing in the summer. We are lucky to have them.

What makes you say the water here is not clean?

We have some great beaches, the best are least known among the public, the worst are the publics darlings.

If you are expecting beaches in New England to be like those in the Caribbean well that’s like comparing McDonalds to a high end dining restaurant. It’s not about good or bad just not the same damn thing at all.
