I moved here less than a year ago from Connecticut, so I have to ask. There’s a Pepe’s in Warwick.

Amazing. Plain cheese is delicious. White clam is delicious.
Try airport pizza, I find it very cleansing.
Pepe's is great. Sally's is coal fired garbage.
Cumbies pizza is a good cleaner too
Pepe’s is great.
We really love it! But I do have to say, it is a bit expensive for what it is.
There’s better, there’s worse, but Pepe’s is certainly enjoyable.
It's more like Pee Pees pizza.
In all fairness the one time I went it fucking sucked, but I hear the OG location is actually worth the time of day
Legit best pizza in RI in my opinion… a touch on the expensive side
you ate wrong in Italy, trust me
I grew up in New Haven. Pepe's will always be my favorite. Tomato pie, Plain cheese and my absolute favorite, Bacon, white clam sauce with garlic!
It was pretty good but there's so much good pizza in RI, it wasn't worth the drive down Bald Hill Rd for me.
When Frank Pepe’s first opened on Bald Hill, we got takeout and it wasn’t that good. Doesn’t travel well. Last year we gave it another try (dine-in) and it was amazing. The staff there are really great too. Right now it’s one of our favorite places to go out. Costs under $50 for a large with a pitcher of Bud Light. These days that ain’t a bad deal.
Is there a Sally's in RI?
Agreed it does not survive takeout at all. Need to go in person.
If you’re looking for good pizza at a decent price, try Pizza Nomad in West Warwick. No dine in, just delivery and take out.
Thank God no. There's only one of those hellholes.
I used to live in Southern Vermont, and would make road trips to Pepe’s in New Haven. New Haven pizza is my favorite though. The one in Warwick is really good, and good pizza is hard to find in RI, but IMO none of the franchises (or whatever they are) are as good as the original.
You are brave, but firmly misguided
It’s ok. I’ve had it many times and tbh I like Anthony’s coal fired pizza better.
It's fine. There is better to be found for the price.
Figidini is better, IMO, for pricey Italian-style wood-fired pizza.
Catanzaro's is where it's at for me, but to each their own.
A lot of people around here will swear by Sicilia's or Caserta's, but I think they are crazy.
I hate to break it to you, but Pepe’s is also coal fired…
Pepe's is coal fired pizza. Sally's is coal fired garbage. Like I said.
Went to school in New Haven and Pepe’s is simply overrated. While it’s nice having a slice of New Haven style pizza in RI, it’s the worst option of the bunch. Worth the 1.5 hour drive to New Haven to get Modern, Bar or Nolo.
Hell. Yes. You can’t beat it. Also, their Quattro Formaggio is great

Their menu says large tomato pie is $17.75. Add mozzarella and beer and side salad and tax and tip….
Solid coal fired pie. 🤌
Federal Hill is worth a visit.
You absolutely don't know quality pizza if you're crying about grease.

It’s amazing. Every time I’m in Warwick and drive by it, which is often, I want to go. I don’t, but I want to.
And when I eat somewhere else in Warwick, I leave sad that I didn’t eat that pizza.
And this coming from a lady that never gave a shit about pizza. “ITS ALL GOOD”, I used to say.
That place is the best.
Saw them on door dash, good to know they're a real place and not another "pasqualy's" lol
Casertas is my favorite but i'll gladly admit it's entirely nostalgia lol
I'm wiping but not tears, greasy pizza tears up my guts. Sorry but I prefer different pizza
The original Sally’s (they’re franchising and quality is down since the Consiglio’s sold) kicked ass. Best pie. Grew up in New Haven and have eaten at all of the greats many times. Best now is Modern, it’s the last family run apizzeria of the big 3. Pepe’s is still a quality pie. But if you call Sally’s garbage it’s clear you don’t know shit or have only eaten there in the past two years
Agreed but it's a completely different style of pizza. Saying one is better than the other isn't really fair. They are both excellent at exactly what they are trying to accomplish from a pizza.
Oh agreed, but if I had to choose between Catanzaros and Pepe, I’d choose Catanzaros every time.
I live in Conimicut and happily make the cross county trek to the boroughs of the soap factory for the best pizza this side of the Pawtuxet River.
I honestly like the one in Warwick better than the one in Mohegan Sun. I’ve been to a few others in CT. I love the pizza.
>Pepe’s is still a quality pie.
Found the nutmegger.
Been a Rhode Islander for almost 10 years now I still get chastised for ordering a "pie"
Crust is usually burnt and the sauce is too heavy compared to the cheese ratio
Eh there is better for the price
I want Sally’s just reading this
I prefer Anthony’s Coal Fired in Garden City.
Edit: Anthonys not Providence.
Haven't been there recently, but when I was there thought it was expensive and the pizza was mediocre. Haven't been there since and not planning to.
😂😂 ok i need to try it now
Pepe’s is amazing, clam pie esp.
There’s lots of good pizza in RI, but Pepe’s is probably top 3.
🍕 🍕 🍕
Isn't that an Anthonys? Or did that move, or are they both there?
I'm down with it. It's not my favorite but its in the rotation for sure.
Yes it is! That’s what I get for answering pizza posts at 4 in the morning lol
What do you mean another “Pasquale’s”? I’ve been there once. Good pizza but too expensive, as is the case with many of these pizza places nowadays.
Best pizza in RI by far!
nowhere close to the New Haven location
It’s ok… I have other favorites in Rhode Island
Nomad is good.
Over rated, over priced, it cos plays as legit pizza and a few on the staff are horrible
I never loved ricotta on pizza too much, I tried it a bunch. 5 cheeses, meats, etc. I only like it in small dollops on pizza. FoodLove in Middletown probably has the best pizza in the state now though. They use a focaccia dough for all their pizzas. It's a mouth orgasm excuse my language but it really is. My favorite is their Riccotta Rhode Island Mushroom pizza. always a large. last me 2-3 days. I don't know anyone that works there i just love their food.

Way too greasy, it's like they want us to get diarrhea
