There are lots of wild turkeys in North Providence now, not far from the town hall. I've never seen them here before. I have seen them when I pass through the time warp into the Burrillville area, but that's expected. This isn't. Are others seeing turkeys, or am I being haunted by the ghosts of Thanksgiving past?

I’ve seen around RIC, Triggs for several years. Periodically a few will show up in Elmhurst.

I had a rafter of turkeys in my back yard the other day in Warwick. They looked tasty.

See them often here in Cranston, near Pawtuxet river. The turkeys are harmless unless you have a dog that decides it's fun to charge at them.

Maybe three years ago I was walking my dog on the East Side of Providence and saw a wild turkey go up someone's front steps and onto the lawn as if s/he lived there 😆

I was dumbstruck at that first sighting; there was a pair that stayed in the neighborhood for weeks. I watched a cat try to stalk them and the amused contempt with which this was greeted by the turkeys.

There is a flock on them in residence at Swan Point Cemetery.

They are all around RIC and Johnston, not surprising they made it to your house

Just like people, turkeys have been spreading out from the Boston area over the last few years.

I always see Turkeys in the fall around in Johnston -- especially in the morning. There are some nests along the Woony bike path. I know because my dog and I were chased away by one.

Every time I see them I roll down my window and yell “I love you!” at them.

My wife took a picture of one causing a ruckus in the intersection of Warren and Pawtucket ave in East Prov. They don't give two shits but they usually stay away from busy areas here, think that one got lost.

I’m also in North Providence. I’ve seen turkeys out and about as long as I’ve lived here.
