heres a tip ive only recently discovered
the stars just arnt as bright at the beginning of the night as they are late late night, like 430 or 5 on todays date
i woke up by chnce at 5am the other day, yesterday maybe, oh thats mon, no thats um wat day is today, i just dont know the answer to that mystery
but at 5am i went outside to let the dog out and have a pee, it pretty dark n black night sky, trhe stars are poppin, super super bright all twinkly ad oh yea im in wickford thats north kingstown to all you nice folk out there, and the bad ones, yea you, youra stinker
anyways get up at 430, 5 and thats your jackpot of glorious bright twinklin stars, better hope theres no clouds but i bet you lleready knew that one
Really depends on the phase of the moon for this, if it’s a waxing moon that’s out in the early hours of the night and then sets this is def true but if it’s a waning moon that rises around midnight then it would diminish a bit of the stars’ brightness in those early morning hours

Don't believe this is true... I'm up at 5:30am everyday and some days (like today) the stars are spectacular. But a cold front came through overnight and there's less moisture in the air making the skies appear clearer. That's why stars look so much brighter in the winter.
so your saying that a cold front is the star gazin jackpot?
well ,far out man :P
well only problem with that is if i go to sleep, i'm not waking up until 9 lmao, and i don't think someone would wanna stay up til 5 with me lmao
dont stay awake till 5
wat all the braniacs do, they set their alarm for 5
There's also the St. Joseph Cemetery in Exeter (Across from EWG High-School).

Looks like Eastern CT is the best bet unless you have access to a Boat. I once had access to a boat and can recommend it as a star-gazing platform.
Anywhere is South County is pretty good as long as you’re not close to URI, for some reason they have it lit up like an airport there all the time. I always find anywhere off Rt 1 between Narragansett and Westerly is usually pretty dark.
Ten Forward …

Google Frosty Drew Observatory - it's down at Ninigret. Ninigret is also dark at night, so it'd be good if you want to be on your own. It looks like they have an event coming up Friday night. Also, the Seagrave observatory in North scituate has an event on Saturday night.
