I just moved to the area and I have leaf bags that I need to dispose. I stopped by the dump in Richmond. The peach of a guy working there told me to “take them somewhere they can be taken” when I asked for a local suggestion. It was so helpful….

I know I can take them to Westerly, but they charge?

So I am now here asking for a suggestion. Like I said I am new to the area and I am still learning how some things operate here.

Hopkinton residence got the shaft when they stopped allowing usage of Westerly transfer station.

Since Ashaway is not in Town of Westerly, I guess you would need to get a day pass to dump at Westerly transfer station. No charge for Westerly residents with the (recently imposed) resident sticker. I think the day pass is $10.

Richmond doesn’t, and Westerly charges.

That’s all I know based on my research. What are my other options? Again, I am new to the area and I don’t know any other location aside from the two I’ve listed. You say “a bunch of locations”. The guy at the Richmond dump basically told me the same thing and didn’t care to give me any recommendations.

Do you have any?

I saw a few signs for clean fill wanted whole driving around but it read before I saw your message. There is a Richmond FB group which you could ask on to get a better idea.

I think that one of the locations was on RT 3 North of the state police barracks
