Hello! New to this subreddit since I recently found out I will be moving to Providence in June. Quick questions for you all: Best places to live/ apartments closest to the university? If I were looking for a career in a research laboratory, which one would you recommend applying to? Thanks!

If you don’t already have a job lined up at Brown prior to moving… I would not hold your hopes very high that you’ll be able to just apply when you get there & easily get a job.

There's a bunch of labs in RI. Since you're wanting to live near Brown, you can try Lifespan. Labs that come to mind: Dominion, East Side Clinical, or Quest.

If you could get into Brown why wouldn't you choose to go to a nicer school with better rankings in a nicer city?
