Man just wait til we go into a recession keep some money saved up. Material prices will significantly drop and you’ll get a great reno at a good price. Latest figured suggest we will be in a recession late 2023. Whats another couple of months lol

Then call your insurance company and have them pay for it.

HO insurance (and most insurance for that matter) pays for damage arising from a sudden and accidental loss - ie your pipes burst. It does not cover a slow leak that causes damage over a long period.

They will absolutely cover a leak that went unnoticed for a period of time. I do insurance jobs regularly, in fact I just remodeled a kitchen where a dishwasher was leaking for an extended period of time and ruined the hardwood floor and the cabinets wicked up the water. The client got 45k from their insurance to install new cabinets, granite countertops, hardwood floors etc….
