Thought I read that real ID was pushed back to 2025? Bring a passport as backup maybe?
Passport is expired and won’t renew in time.
Passport is expired and won’t be able to renew in time. Just wanted confirmation for my own sanity. I read online real ID was delayed until May 2025 but need validation.
Call your airline? They should be able to advise in that case. Also TSA website https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification reads like regular drivers licenses should work.
It was a while ago (August) but yea I made it through just fine. Standard license will get you to the gate, and like others have said the req to have a real ID was pushed back so you're good
Thanks!
Np have a good trip!
Regular state issued ID will get you through TSA. A normal driver’s license (non-Real ID) works.
I flew fine, I brought my regular RI license and had my birth certificate with me like a nerd. They didn’t ask for it and I was carrying around this big folder the whole trip worried about losing it. I agree with status silver too, just call in advance. Safe travels!
I flew out of RI this week with a non- real ID and was just fine. New license isn't needed until 2025.
I flew 2 weeks ago and had zero issues

I don't have real ID and use my passport.
