Does he look like a bitch?
What....
SAY WHAT AGAIN!
Say what again. SAY WHAT again! And I dare you, I double dare you motherfucker! Say what one more time.
It's a Pulp Fiction reference thread.
Sigh....I know that. You were supposed to reply "Does he look...like a bitch" then I say "What..." again and then of course there's the line everyone knows....
I r/whoosh myself of this. Tbf, I'm up in the middle of the night bc of my teething infant, so I'm not exactly 💯.
Whoops..😅

She just wakes frequently, my brain is essentially a fried egg after months of broken sleep. Mea culpa, mom brain sucks.

Depends on their contract, the amount of gas under their property, and supply/demand. No way to know.
And they are already likely very loaded. When I used to taxes my one client had gas land and would get $800-1 mil a year.
Those property owners are relatively rare. You would have to own a large farm or similar property with multiple high producing wells to yield $1 million annually in royalties. They definitely exist, I can confirm that fact.
Isn’t the first year the sweetest $$$ spot and the rest not that amazing?
Yes. If you own a bunch of land and stagger well installation, you could plan for optimal revenue year-to-year.

That is helpful, says 60-80% drop after first year, that's a bit disappointing. It isn't my money after all but my family member is currently getting $25ish k a month but it sounds like that will def taper off.
My family receives over 400k a year, they have for the past 15 years. It gets split into 9 but still a good income just for owning land
Oh cool that is similar for my family member. So you guys haven't seen a big drop off in income. Good to know.
I’m part of the exiled side who sees no money, but according to cousins it has not

No way to know for sure. How much they take is directly tied to demand and limited by how much gas is down there. The wells I’ve seen only lasted about 10 years, but it’s not uncommon for them to come back 30-80 years later and re-drill the same land for different products. Our gas wells are on top of old oil wells.
Why would they talk about it? It's their income stream.
You don't know any assholes that brag about their income?
Complete side note, but I was looking for some rural 'property' to buy in central PA...just as an escape and a way to return to my roots. Jesus christ everything is so expensive because of shale speculators. Compare land prices in PA to upstate NY (where fracking is banned). It's wild.
