This school district is filled with administrative positions that are beyond out of touch. They climb the ladder then get to a point where they can't get higher, so new positions are created and there are tons of people who sit in office buildings making up wasys to justify their position. If they cared about mental health, they would work to equalize the quality of all of the schools and not focus on the magnet schools. How does it effect the mental health of a student to know that they're not "good enough" to get into the IB school, CAPA, or the other magnet programs? The kids in the general high schools are pretty much told by the district that they're not worthy of the extras so they fit into the mold that the district sets for them.

To be fair, it's WAY easier to just focus on schools like CAPA, Sci-Tech, etc. because they have so many fewer problems. /s
